Hi there! I'm Sierra.
I've always been driven to help people understand and connect with the natural world. My curiosity about plants and their environment led me to learn more and more. In 2020, I started consulting so I could share that knowledge with folks right at their home, farm or business.
I've spent the last 15 years working and learning about plant health.
As a 6th generation Idahoan, I understand Idaho landscapes, plants, and people. For five years I helped oversee the plant collections at the Idaho Botanical Garden, and taught hundreds of residents classes on topics from soil health to pruning. Now as a Plant Health Consultant, I coach homeowners, farmers and other business owners on how to care for the plants that they love and rely on.
My philosophy is simple: use science to do the best job possible.
My Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Horticulture from Oregon State University
- 15 years in horticulture, specialty in plant health
- INLA Certified Plant Diagnostician
- ISA Certified Arborist
- Masters of Science in Entomology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
